Tektronix has released the AFG3000 series of arbitrary/function generators. The series consists of six models to help engineers test electronic circuits with one or more signal inputs and sine waveforms at frequencies up to 240 MHz, generate arbitrary waveforms to 2 GS/s, obtain up to one ppm clock stability and who need an intuitive graphical UI.

AC tester

Altronics has released an AC non-contact tester that detects live AC voltages from 100 to 600 V (50-60 Hz) and allows detection of live wires without contact. The tester illuminates red whenever AC is detected at a power point, sheathed or bare-ended cable. It is also equipped with an LED flashlight for lighting the way in rooftops or wall cavities.

Agilent has announced an analog signal generator that is claimed to provide the best close-to-carrier phase noise performance available in an off-the-shelf signal generator with frequency ranges up to 3.2 or 9 GHz.
