Userful Corporation says that in the past year its software that allows up to 10 people to work from one computer has saved 29,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions, the equivalent of taking more than 5000 cars off the road.
Company targets strong growth in optical sensing markets

Redfern Integrated Optics has secured an additional $7.5 million in funding which will help the company target growth in optical sensing markets. Led by Southern Cross Venture Partners, the round also included Tallwood Venture Capital and Jolimont Capital as investors.

Interworld Electronics has released a new range of sunlight readable monitors. The AP-LDLD series panel-mount industrial LCD monitors are ideal for applications where the monitor is exposed to direct sunlight. They exhibit wide viewing angles of typically 140°/120°, fast response times, high contrast ratios up to 400:1 and an extremely high brightness with a luminance up to1600 nits. Six models are available with 10.4" 800 x 600, 12.1" and 15" 1024 x 768, 17" 1280 x 1024, 20" 800 x 600 and 32" 1366 x 768 TFT screens.

MagnaChip Semiconductor and Silicon Hive have announced that MagnaChip Semiconductor has licensed Silicon Hive’s HiveFlex ISP 2200 series processor. MagnaChip has integrated the HiveFlex ISP 2200 processor into a new imaging sensor, the MC531EA.
