Bluetooth chipset for Qualcomm mobile phones
Qualcomm has announced the world's first Bluetooth version 1.1 compliant commercial chipset, the MSM5100 mobile station modem solution.
The Bluetooth Qualification Body has formally qualified the MSM5100 Bluetooth hardware and software. "Our MSM5100 chipset and system software solution with Bluetooth is a fully tested, qualified and commercial product today," said Johan Lodenius, senior vice president of marketing and product management for Qualcomm CDMA Technologies. "The Bluetooth qualification is a very important step for the commercialisation of Bluetooth technology as well as for the deployment of advanced 3G systems worldwide."
