The SC20 series is Quectel’s multimode smart LTE Cat.4 module with built-in Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. It supports short-range wireless communication via Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, BT2.1+EDR and BT4.1 LE, and offers data rates up to 150 Mbps in LTE. The compact module combines high-speed wireless connectivity with embedded multiconstellation and a high-sensitivity GPS + GLONASS + BeiDou receiver for positioning.

The series supports LTE, 3G, EDGE and GSM/GPRS networks, ensuring that it can be connected even in remote areas devoid of 3G or LTE coverage. It is suitable for both industrial and consumer applications requiring high data-rate and high-speed internet access. A rich set of interfaces (such as LCD, camera, touch panel, MIC, SPK, UART, USB, I²C) and abundant drivers (USB drivers for Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1, Linux) extends the applicability of the module to a wide range of M2M applications, such as CPE, wireless POS, smart metering, router, data card, automotive, smartphone, digital signage, alarm panel, security and industry PDA.

Other features include: an ARM Cortex-A7 microprocessor cores (quad-core) up to 1.1 GHz with 512 KB L2 cache; a QDSP6 v5 multimedia processor core up to 691.2 MHz 768 KB L2 cache; 8 GB EMMC + 8 Gb LPDDR3 memory; two USIM interfaces supported; up to 8 MP camera supported; multimode communications in cellular, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi supported; and a compact size of 40.5 x 40.5 x 2.8 mm.
