Analytica commences Pericoach production
Analytica, an Australian listed medical device company, has commenced production of the Pericoach sensor devices on schedule with first domestic sales expected in the next few weeks.
These first units will be shipped to trained PeriCoach accredited pelvic floor exercise clinics and specialists. The sales strategy allows patients to purchase a PeriCoach device and subscription during a consultation with an accredited health professional using dedicated point-of-sale hardware supplied by Analytica.
A federal government program is available to reimburse the cost of associated health professionals treating chronic urinary stress incontinence, a factor likely to encourage patients to seek help from their clinicians. Currently, Analytica has 7400 units on order to be delivered over the next few months during the controlled market release (CMR) of the product, after which time the iOS-capable device is expected to be ready. Withholding some units for marketing and training purposes, sales of this initial production order at $298 per unit could provide $2.1m in revenue.
Analytica has strategically designed the production system to be quickly and inexpensively scalable with production capacity increases funded from sales. Analytica’s production partner currently has capacity for approximately 125,000 units a year, and doubling this capacity would only incur a $60K cost in duplicate tools which could be online in 8 weeks.
Should future demand require, increasing production capacity to millions of units a year could be achieved at our existing production partners for less than $1m with Analytica maintaining ownership of the tools and intellectual property. For this to be a consideration, Analytica would need to exceed sales of 5000 units per week, which would provide approximately $1.5m/week revenue.
Analytica CEO Geoff Daly said: “Analytica is in a very strong position at the start of production and sales. The company has no debt, cash in the bank thanks to the recent capital raising, and a unique product that treats a massive and unmet medical need. We own our tools, have already paid for our initial production inputs and future production scale-up could be funded from sales. We don’t need to build factories or warehouses, or maintain trucks. We leave that to the experts in those fields.”
