Monday, 06 March, 2017 | Supplied by: OEM Technology Solutions

The MEN CompactPCI G232 multidisplay controller provides good graphics performance and is particularly suitable for multidisplay applications.

The multidisplay controller can independently control up to four displays, or combine them into a large display with a common content via daisy chaining.

It is equipped with three DisplayPort 1.2 interfaces with a max resolution of 2560 x 2048 at 60 Hz and a colour depth of 30 bpp, as well as a DisplayPort 1.1a interface with a max. resolution of 2560x1600 at 60 Hz and a color depth of 24 bpp at the front.

The product comes with 160 stream processors and with a frequency of 600 MHz, having a power dissipation of only 20 W.

The OpenCL standard supported on the product makes it possible to increase the computing power using GPGPU (general-purpose computation on graphics processing unit). The high parallelism with which the product executes the programs significantly increases speed.

The programmable 3D graphics engine supports Microsoft DirectX 11, as well as a third-generation video decoder. The video conversion function (AMD unified video decoder) supports the formats H.264, VC-1, MPEG-4 and MPEG-2.

With passive DisplayPort adapters, up to two HDMI or DVI-D monitors can be connected as an alternative.

The high-resolution and multidisplay outputs make the product suitable for the visual requirements in central control rooms, video surveillance systems, simulators, professional audio/video equipment or digital signage applications.
