element14 signs distribution agreement with KOA
element14 will soon strengthen the depth and breadth of its range of components, having signed a new distribution agreement with passive component manufacturer KOA Europe. Established 80 years ago, KOA manufactures high-specification products for a wide range of industrial, commercial and automotive markets.
element14’s customers will have access to KOA’s full portfolio, with around 1500 lines of in-stock products available. In addition to thick film resistors, the broad product range includes shunt/current sense resistors, wide terminal resistors, high-voltage resistors, thin film chip resistors and surge protection resistors.
“KOA is a leading global manufacturer of passive component solutions and a very welcome addition to element14’s product range,” said Simon Meadmore, Global Head of IP&E at Farnell and element14. “The depth and breadth of KOA’s specialist range of chip resistors, sensors and inductors greatly enhances element14’s world-class portfolio of more than 360,000 passive components. As a distributor with a strong supply network, our new partnership with KOA will ensure our customers have fast access to the highest quality passive components.”
“element14 is an excellent partner for KOA and this major franchise agreement means the availability of our passive component portfolio really steps up a gear,” added Mike Armstrong, General Manager Marketing and Sales at KOA Europe. “Bringing on board a world-leading distributor in the form of element14 solidifies our position as a major manufacturer of resistors and other passive devices, providing engineers and members of our customer base an alternative source of KOA’s important components.”
