GPS OEM module

When Trimble’s GPS module Copernicus was first introduced it outperformed similar GPS modules in field tests. Now with the release of Copernicus II, performance has increased yet again: tracking sensitivity is better by 8 dB, start-up and acquisition is faster, accuracy higher and signal retention in poor environments has been raised.

Copernicus II is a drop-in for its predecessor to carry forward the continuity and provide safety for developers.

At a size of 19 mm square and 2.5 mm thick, it is one of the smallest GPS modules available and is surface mounted by way of 28 edge castellations. Its size makes it suitable for applications such as vehicle tracking and navigation devices, weather balloons, asset trackers, security products, cameras and various bluetooth appliances.

The Trimble development and communication protocols also make the module suitable for developers by adding GPS functionality to devices and applications that previously didn’t require them.

Trimble GPS OEM modules and timing products are available in Australasia, India and SE Asia from Step Global Pty Ltd, a specialist GPS supplier.
