GPS antenna

The WS3978 GPS active antenna series from Wi-Sys Communications is Canadian designed and made and claims to offer the ultimate in GPS antenna performance. If it is quality and performance you need, this is it. Wi-Sys specialises in GPS antennas for Ag/high precision, military, security and fleet applications so it has a great deal of expertise.

The specifications include very high gain (40 dB), ultra low noise figure (0.5 dB) single SAW design or ultra high rejection dual SAW filter design.

The antennas are available in a weatherproof (IP67) all-plastic, non-corrosive, low-profile package for vehicle mount or with a cone-shaped radome cover for fixed installations, are still 60 or 65 mm in diameter and a voltage of 2.7 to 5.5 VDC is standard.

All antennas have 15 kV ESD circuit protection, custom ceramic patch elements for maximum signal reception even when conditions are less than ideal, three-stage LNA circuits, high out-of-band signal rejection performance.

The WS3978 antenna series provides optimal performance for all types of GPS tracking and timing applications, support long cable runs and provides the most consistent, clear GPS signal reception while minimising loss-of-lock in high-RF fields available in the market.

Wi-Sys Communications makes many antenna models to optimise clients' choice of mount, gain, cost, power consumption, filtering, ruggedness, noise figure, connectors, out-of-band rejection, size, dual band and environmental protection.
