PXI automatic test systems

Power Parameters has released the Chroma-ATE family of PXI automatic testers comprising PXI embedded controllers, and PXI/cPI chassis, programmable power supplies, backplanes, switching cards and a prototype card.

The software is supported by Windows 98/NT/2000/XP and provides plug-and-play IVI instrument driver support. Supported programming languages include VB/VC/VC++.

Central to the Chroma-ATE systems are the PXI chassis which feature hot-swappable backplanes.

Chassis options permit a choice of portable (complete with 15", touchscreen LCD, keyboard and optional battery pack), general purpose, and smart (including voltage, temperature and fan monitoring) configurations.

Backplanes available include 4, 8, 14 and 18 slot configurations supporting 3U-64 bit comms. Two PXI embedded controller options are available, each using the low power consumption TransmetaCrusoe CPU providing full x86 compatibility, with 533 and 800 MHz clocks.

PXI/cPI power supplies, in combination with Chroma-ATE chassis, provide hot-swappable redundancy in instances of power supply failure.

A range of hot-swappable relay and MUX cards is available with 16, 32 and 64 channels in form C and A/B contact configurations supporting bandwidths to 3 GHz.
