Lite-On has introduced transparent substrate (TS) AlInGaP lamps that enable Lite-On to fulfill the growing demand for red, orange and yellow incandescent and Neon replacements. For several years the company has offered absorbing substrate (AS) AlInGaP products, which had cost advantages over TS product but lacked the intensity and efficiency to support applications like traffic signals, outdoor signs, and automotive brakelights.
Released are 5 mm (T-1) and 4 pin DIP package styles in red and yellow (628 and 594 dominant wavelengths).
