The InfiniCor SX+ is a 10 gigabit ethernet-capable multimode fibre that enables the high bandwidth performance of standard singlemode fibre for premises applications.

InfiniCor SX+ fibre is a 50 µ multimode fibre enabling 10 Gbps serial transmission over 300 m in the 850 nm wavelength window. It is designed for use with 850 nm vertical cavity surface emitting lasers (VCSELs).

The high-bandwidth fibre enables higher data aggregation within the backbone and the riser for local area network (LAN) applications and is suitable for storage area networks (SANs), high-speed parallel interconnects for central offices and access networks.

The fibre can be deployed to meet network requirements from 10 Mbps to 622 Mbps using LED-based protocols, and as bandwidth requirements increase, end users can migrate to laser-based protocols (gigabit ethernet, 10 gigabit ethernet), all on the same fibre.
