Low power Bluetooth communication module

The F2M03-GLA is a low power embedded Bluetooth v2.0 module with enhanced data rate (EDR). The module is a fully Bluetooth v2.0 qualified device for data and voice communication.

With a transmit power of up to +8 dBm and receiver sensitivity of 83 dBm, adaptive frequency hopping (AFH), combined with low power consumption, the F2M03-GLA is suitable for the most demanding applications.

The F2M03-GLA comes with an onboard, highly efficient, omni-directional antenna that simplifies the integration for developers of Bluetooth applications. Output power can be controlled from software allowing a maximum range of up to 350 metres (line of sight) and reducible according to application range requirements. This, combined with the low power consumption, makes this module ideal for handheld applications and other battery-powered devices.

Developers can easily implement a wireless solution into their product even with limited knowledge in Bluetooth and RF. The developer can select a firmware option from the reliable and powerful easy-to-use Wireless UART firmware implementing the Bluetooth Serial Port Profile (SPP) to the Host Control Interface (HCI).

The module is a lead-free and RoHS-complian surface mount device with very compact outline. It comes with onboard antenna, is fully Bluetooth v2.0+EDR qualified and certified according to CE and FCC, which will give fast and easy implementation and short time to market.
