Developed in conjunction with an electrical distributor, the Cabac long palm long barrel heavy-duty copper lugs have been developed for use in the most hazardous and severe fault current situations.

Designed for total airtight cable applications with barrels internally sealed at the palm junction and the inspection window not present, the lugs use standard dies and tooling.

Each lug size uses the nominal bore of a standard lug, but the wall thickness of the next size up with, for example, a 35 mm2 bore having the wall thickness of a 50 mm2 lug. All lugs are standard with blank palms, however Cabac manufacturing can also easily modify them to meet specific requirements. Special lugs can be made by bending the palm, cropping the palm, shortening the barrel or punching stud holes to meet specifications.
