The handheld fibre inspection microscope is an instrument for inspecting fibre optic connector terminations. This instrument is suitable for both experienced fibre technicians and occasional users.

At 600 g, the battery powered unit fits in the palm of the hand. Magnification powers range from 200 to 400X. Coaxial illumination is used, providing maximum light transmission at higher magnifications to give the clearest image.

The microscope integrates laser safety filters and an internal light source allows for the other end of the patch lead to be illuminated.

The battery lifetime is 30+ hours from three AAA batteries and the illumination LED delivers 100,000 hours of bulb life.
