Fibre Connectors

Amphenol has introduced the MTP range of fibre optics.

The MTP connector is the first industry standard connector to use a composite moulded ferrule with multifibre push-on connection.

Designed for optical connections of multifibre backplane systems, high speed telecommunications equipment, LAN and digital switch systems, connection between connectors is achieved using a low profile bulkhead or backplane type adapters.

The connectors provide quick connection using alignment pins to maintain fibre position accuracy in conjunction with a keyed and colour coded, push-pull housing.

The precision alignment pins also ensure connector integrity and durability over repeated matings.
