Backplane Systems is due to show the Cool Beauty, a VIA Eden ESP6000 667 MHz fanless micro PC, at the National Manufacturing Week 2004 exhibition next month.
This compact PC is 220 x 65 x 147 mm and features two COM ports, two USB 1.1 ports and a DB-25 parallel port on the rear panel.
The PC features a VIA TwisterT VT8606 chipset with integrated S3 Savage4 2D/3D graphics accelerator and 32 MB display memory. The device features one 144 pin SODIMM socket supporting up to 512 MB SDRAM.
AC97 audio with line in, line out and mic in ports are on the back panel as well as a CompactFlash Type I/II socket with card ejector. Dual Realtek 8139C or optional Intel 82559/82559ER 10/100Base-Tx ethernet controllers are also fitted.
