LeCroy Corporation has launched a family of digital oscilloscopes for entry level to mid-range users. The WaveJet series of eight models has two- and four-channel DSOs with bandwidths of 100, 200, 350 and 500 MHz.
It has a maximum sample rate of 2 GS/s combined with the 500 K channel memory. The memory provides a capture time of 250 µs at maximum sample rate. The units feature 19 cm colour display and USB connectivity.
The front panel provides one-touch access to the horizontal, vertical, and trigger menus and push button knobs automatically set delay, offset and trigger level.
Colour matched channel LEDs indicate which channel is active and whether they are controlling maths or zoom traces.
The peak-detect feature can capture 1 ns glitches and provide resolution to an equivalent 100 GS/s with equivalent sampling mode. Roll mode can watch variations in low-speed signals. Page mode provides deeper insight into captured waveforms and the ability to scroll through a history of capture waveforms to isolate glitches, runts, or other signal abnormalities.
