Data acquisition software suite

Yokogawa has released DAQWORX, a PC-based integrated data acquisition software package for acquiring and recording data from equipment used in production, research and development.

It acquires and records data such as flow rate, pressure, temperature and voltage from production and test equipment. Users can configure a variety of data acquisition systems without having to perform any special programming tasks.

Such systems include recorders, data acquisition equipment, measuring instruments and instrumentation equipment from Yokogawa.

The package also makes it possible for users to expand the measurement bandwidth and application range by adding software to their existing data acquisition systems that have been optimised for specificapplications.

DAQWORX has three classes of software components. Users can build data acquisition systems optimised for their applications by selecting a combination of individual software components from the available lineup.

Data acquisition components (base software) do not require special programming skills. Users can set up various data acquisition hardware components, expedite the start of data acquisition system operation, and perform analytical processing.

High value-added components (add-on software) facilitate various tasks, including customised monitoring, networked remote monitoring, group-by-group data acquisition and storage, and triggered data acquisition by monitoring measured data.

They can be linked with the base software to build high value-added data acquisition systems.

Interface components (gate software) enable users to connect not only data acquisition equipment but power measuring instruments, industrial instrumentation equipment, monitors for data acquired from OPC servers, and monitors for images from web cameras, without programming.
