Advanced Lab device programmer

The new PowerLab programmer with USB interface now being introduced to the Australian market by Westek Electronics represents a non-compromising marriage of universality, flexibility, reliability, productivity and affordability.

The promise of universality is fulfilled through the enormous range of devices supported including high-density flash memories, PLDs, CPLDs, FPGAs, and micro-controllers to name but a few as well as the life-long support for new devices as they are introduced, via download of free software from the PowerLab support website. Flexibility is delivered through features such as the large range of rail voltages supported from as low as 1.2V, and the capability to stress devices under variable DC levels thus providing a powerful tool for weeding out potentially defective parts. The PowerLab Window interface supports Windows 95/98/ME2000 and NT/XP (available shortly). Reliability is achieved through PowerLab's design philosophy including certification to ISO9001, and design features including the use of pin driver and socket proximity so as to insure clean signal waveforms for critical sub-microndevices.

PowerLab also incorporates generous design margins of 25% and over-current protection against defective and high leakage devices. Productivity demonstrates itself through very fast programming and file transfer operations, for instance: a 16Mbit flash memory in 12 seconds and file downloading speeds of 2.8Mbits/second.
