SembLog to provide SCM to Autron
Tuesday, 14 August, 2001
Autron has signed an agreement with SembCorp Logistics that will see the latter provide supply chain management (SCM) support to both Autron and the electronics manufacturing industry.
The agreement will reduce Autron's logistics costs by 12 per cent as the company's focus is heavily logistics reliant, according to SembLog president Koh Soo Keong. "In our effort to provide innovative solutions for our customers, SembLog intends to jointly work with Autron to develop logistics solutions leveraging automated identification technology (AIT), packaging and other supply chain technology specifically for the electronics equipment production industry," Koh added.
