Protel enters strategic partnership with Amtel

Protel International has announced a five year OEM agreement with California based semiconductor manufacturer Amtel Corporation.

As a result of this agreement, Protel will supply Amtel with OEM versions of their electronic design software to be integrated as part of Amtel's Prochip Designer programmable logic design system.

Given Protel's range of electronic design technologies and products and its near-term strategic goals, the two companies have an opportunity to cooperate on the development of new design products of board-level, programmable chip level and embedded systems design.

Protel's goal in the relationship with Amtel is two-fold. Protel will benefit from revenues associated with OEM sales, as well as the follow-on revenues generated from sales to Amtel customers of full product upgrades. Additionally, Protel will achieve a strategic position through this relationship.
