Polycom to open Singapore headquarters
Tuesday, 01 August, 2006
Polycom has chosen Singapore as its new Asia-Pacific headquarters in 2007.
The move will centralise administrative functions such as finance, legal, order management, IT and HR operations formerly based in Hong Kong with the distribution, manufacturing, training and services lab already in Singapore.
It is the latest extension by Polycom. Recent commitments to the region include creating a new engineering lab in Shenzhen, a new distribution centre in Australia and a new quality lab in Japan. Existing sales, services and engineering for the region will remain in Hong Kong, Beijing and Shenzhen.
Singapore was selected for its central location and is well situated between rapidly developing markets such as China and India, and established markets such as Japan, Korea and Australia. Singapore offers Polycom beneficial corporate incentives as well as one of the best developed IP infrastructures in the world.
