Microsoft and Invensys have combined Invensys&rsquo process and manufacturing applications with Microsoft@rsquos platform, technology and enterprise products.
The alliance will provide manufacturers with real-time visibility in their plant environments and supply chains.
Although Invensys has long developed solutions, using Microsoft technology, under the alliance, Invensys will tightly integrate Microsoft&rsquos platform into the company&rsquo future offerings.
Microsoft also will help Invensys accelerate the development of its enhanced productivity tools, products and user solutions with broad, horizontal appeal to the manufacturing industry and specific benefits for the hydrocarbons, power and utilities, food and beverage and pharmaceutical manufacturing segments.
