Electrolux signs deal with NSW

Electrolux Group have just announced a multi-million dollar investment package with the NSW government to secure and further develop its factory in the state's mid-west.
The company is investing $20 million in new equipment for the factory, based in Orange, said managing director of Electrolux Home Products Australia, Trevor Carroll. At the same time the state government is committing to a multi-million dollar assistance package to help train the factory's workforce and build a rail siding facility for good produced there.
Electrolux will also be given payroll tax concessions to assist the company in securing new capital investment and enhance the Orange plant's global competitiveness, NSW minister for regional development, Harry Woods, said. "This assistance is aimed at securing the jobs of local people in an icon manufacturing plant, now and into the future," Woods said.
