Deal provides access to global marketplace
Underwriters Laboratories (UL), a product safety testing organisation, has acquired Parkside Laboratories Ltd. in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Parkside offers independent product testing and certification services to end users, designers and manufacturers of electrical and electronic products in multiple technology fields.
Product testing will still be conducted at Parkside, but users will gain access to European, Asian and North American markets through UL’s global platform and certification services worldwide. All current employees will retain their positions.
The deal closed this morning. Financial terms were not disclosed.
