Automatic data capture group joins AEEMA
Sunday, 30 November, 2003
AEEMA has announced the integration of Automatic Data Capture Association (ADCA) into AEEMA.
ADCA will be a forum of AEEMAs ICT Australia division and will be known as the Automatic Data Capture Australia forum.
The ADCA membership represents an industry grouping that complements existing AEEMA forums such as the Australian IT Security forum and the Asia Pacific Smart Card forum.
According to Angus M Robinson, chief executive AEEMA the incorporation of ADCA into AEEMA would strengthen the size and scope of AEEMA as a key industry association representing ICT infrastructure companies. "It will also ensure that the industry sector represented by ADCA members will gain a higher level of recognition within the ICT industry generally and by governments at the state and national level," Mr Robinson added.
Key areas of focus for the ADCA Forum will include government relations, education and training, input to standards and regulatory issues, and business development.
Geoffrey Ramadan, managing director, Unique Micro Design Pty Ltd and chair, ADCA will be chair of the new AEEMA forum, which comes into effect on 1 January 2004. Mr Ramadan has also been appointed to represent the forum on AEEMA'S Advisory Council.
