Analog University launched
Thursday, 10 April, 2003
National Semiconductor and Arrow Electronics have launched Analog University. www.analogu.national.com It is a no cost online educational resource devoted to analog semiconductor technologies. It gives users fast access to technical information and training so they can solve semiconductor applications issues.
The university features beginning, intermediate and advanced classes in eight different technologies: amplifiers, audio, data conversion, displays, low voltage differential signalling (LVDS), power management, thermal management and wireless.
Students move through the self-paced coursework and finish each lesson with an interactive multiple-choice computer graded test. Once all tests are passed they will receive an online certificate of completion.
Knowledge Base has also been introduced by National. It is an online search engine tool which allows users to sift through large amounts of technical resources on National's web site.www.national.com
It is designed to work close with the University. It allows users to type in questions, the system interprets the request, retrieves the most pertinent data and generates a results page.
