AEEMA Awards Excellence

Peregrine Semiconductor Australia won the "˜AusIndustry Award for Excellence in Innovation and Commercialisation of R&D' for the quality of relationships established with users and government, and the role that PSA has played in demonstrating the worth of Australian microelectronics designers to the global electronics industry.

The company also won the "˜Best New Product in Electronics/Hardware' award for the complex high-speed, multi-throw, HaRP antenna switch (the Mobile Phone HaRP Antenna Switch Module).

High-technology manufacturing excellence was in the spotlight at the AEEMA Excellence Awards presented in Melbourne. The awards acknowledge the achievements of individual Australian manufacturing companies.

"The AEEMA Excellence Awards recognise the contribution that leading-edge Australian electronics, electrical manufacturing and ICT companies make to product development, exports, green and smart manufacturing, skills and education," said lead presenter, Dr John Zillman, president of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering (ATSE).

"The awards provide a vehicle for Australia to showcase its capabilities in high-technology manufacturing and highlight some of Australia's world-renowned capabilities."

The awards were presented in conjunction with Manufacturing Technology InFocus and the ICT Outlook Forum.

Other awards awarded include: Excellence in Smart Manufacturing, AusIndustry Award for Excellence in Innovation and Commercialisation of R&D, Best New Product in Electronics/Hardware and the Cleaner, Greener, Smarter Excellence Award.
