ICP Electronics Australia has released the PICOe-GM45A, a half-size PICOe CPU card from IEI Technology. The 45 nm Core 2 Duo is a low power processor with a 6.0 MB L2 cache and combines both PCI Express (PCIe) and PCI edge connectors on a half-size form factor.

The processor is integrated with the GM45 graphics and memory controller hub (GMCH) through a front side bus with a maximum speed of 1066 MHz. The device supports 2x 800 MHz 2.0 GB dual-channel DDR2 SDRAM DIMM (max 4.0 GB), as well as VGA displays, 18- or 24-bit dual-channel LVDS displays and HDTV-out in single- or dual-display format.

The processor platform features an ICH9M input/output controller hub (ICH), four 3 GBps SATA drives (with SATA RAID option), two PCIe gigabit ethernet controllers. Dual LAN connections ensure redundant network connections can be set up and the integrity of the network links is preserved if one link should fail.

The board also has two RS232 serial port connectors and supports seven high-speed USB 2.0 devices, while the ICH9 supports high-definition audio through a peripheral audio kit.
