Switching and control instruments

Agilent offers a family of LXI (LAN eXtensions for Instrumentation) instruments for switching and control that includes the 34980A switch/measure mainframe and associated plug-in cards and the 1U, half-rack width L4400 series standalone modules.

The L4400 series provides an easy migration path from the 34980A and other existing LXI instruments without an investment in a new platform, allowing engineers to buy only what they need and add to it when their application changes.

The ethernet interface allows for simple connection between the 34980A or L4400 and PC, or to a network. The fully-featured graphical web interface provides full control of the instrument through a standard web browser.

The unit's remote capabilities and graphical web interface reduce set-up and troubleshooting time for engineers building design verification and functional test systems in the electronics, automotive, aerospace/defence, communications, medical and computer industries.

Engineers can use the ethernet connection and the unit's graphical web interface to remotely access and control the instrument from anywhere on the network.

This enables engineers to monitor a test set-up; open, close and scan switches; view commands that have gone across the bus; and troubleshoot an application via a standard web browser.

Choose from the following L4400 LXI modules: L4421A 40-channel armature multiplexer; L4433A dual/quad 4x8 reed matrix; L4437A 32-channel form a/form c general-purpose switch; L4445A microwave switch/attenuator driver; L4450A 64-bit digital I/O with memory and counter; L4451A 4-channel D/A converter with waveform memory; L4452A multifunction with 32-bit DIO, 2-ch D/A and totaliser.
