Specialised calibration

Tuesday, 14 April, 2009 | Supplied by: EMC Technologies

EMC Technologies has commissioned a specialist calibration laboratory to service the EMC and EMR/EMF/EME testing sectors, including third-party EMC test laboratories.

The laboratory has been assessed and will shortly be accredited by NATA as an ISO 17025 EMC test equipment calibration laboratory, the only EMC test house in Australia/NZ to have this accreditation.

The NATA calibration scope will include: electrostatic discharge generators to IEC/EN 61000-4-2 (CE marking) and ISO 10605 (automotive); electrical fast transient generators to IEC/EN 61000-4-4; high-voltage surge generators to IEC 61000-4-5; artificial mains networks also known as line impedance stablisation networks as defined by CISPR 16-1-2 and as required by most conducted emission EMC standards; coupling/decoupling networks, as defined by IEC/EN 61000-4-6, CISPR 24 and many other standards with conducted RF immunity requirements.

The scope will be increased to include EMR/RF field probes, RF badges (radman and similar devices), antennas, CISPR EMI receivers, spectrum analysers and other EMC test equipment.
