Automated safety analysers

The Vitrek V60 series electrical safety analyser provides a choice of AC, AC and DC dielectric strength testing, with or without insulation resistance testing, and ground continuity testing in accordance with UL, CSA and IEC standards.

The analysers can be used as analytical tools in engineering and development or in production because they can be fully automatic via an RS 232 port and PLC interface with an optional GPIB interface being available.

The instruments can be combined with two 16-channel scanners for multipoint measurements. Dielectric strength can be measured to 5 kV AC with a maximum current of 40 mA and to 6 kV DC with a maximum current of 10 mA.

Insulation resistance can be measured to 10 GΩ at voltages to a 1000. The analysers incorporate programming steps including digital ramp and dwell times and selectable arc detection. Ten test sequences with up to 16 individual steps per sequence can be stored in the instruments’ test memory.
