Agilent Technologies N9030A PXA signal analyser
Agilent has released the N9030A PXA signal analyser, the highest performance member of the X-series, with a frequency coverage to 26.5 GHz.
Flexibility is the keynote as it has a variety of built-in and optional measurement capabilities and may allow the hardware, such as hard disks, CPU, memory and I/O ports, to be expanded as demands or applications change in the future.
The N9030A PXA has up to 75 dB spurious-free dynamic range at 140 MHz analysis bandwidth. Other specifications include -128 dB/Hz phase noise at 10 kHz offset (1 GHz), 0.19 dB amplitude accuracy and sensitivity of -172 dBm displayed average noise level (DANL) at 2 GHz.
Other features include code compatibility that makes existing company analysers easier to replace; emulation of remote programming language; default settings, timing and couplings; arbitrary and second IF output; fast rise-time logarithmic video output; Y-axis output.
The instrument has built-in, one-button measurement and optional measurement applications. The library of X-series measurement applications ensures good results when moving from legacy or current-generation analysers.
The applications are also transportable across many of the company’s X-series, including the PXA, MXA, EXA and CXA analysers. The 89600 vector signal analysis software can run inside the instrument, giving more than 70 demodulation formats.
The series is the first to have available MathLab data analysis software as an option, enabling specific measurements and customised applications using live analyser data.
