Synchronising Infiniium Z-Series oscilloscopes, from Agilent Technologies, can allow up to 40 measurement channels simultaneously with a maximum 63 GHz real-time oscilloscope bandwidth (on up to 10 oscilloscopes).

The series has good noise and jitter measurement floors to allow engineers to effectively test devices and achieve performance milestones. There are 10 models, ranging from 20 to 63 GHz, all of which are bandwidth upgradable to 63 GHz.

There is sufficient bandwidth to capture the third harmonic on 28, 32 and 40 Gbps digital signals and optional synchronisation port to measure up to 40 channels simultaneously. There is a capacitive touch screen for ease of use, while USB 3.0 offload speeds make it faster to analyse data.

The oscilloscopes include RealEdge technology, which comprises a combination of Agilent architectures, next-generation microcircuits/thin-film components and the company’s indium phosphide semiconductor process. It enables high-frequency capability while maintaining low noise and jitter measurement floors (75 fs).

N2807A PrecisionProbe Advanced software helps engineers characterise and correct for cables to the full 63 GHz, while the company’s InfiniiMax III probing technology is designed for bandwidths up to 30 GHz.
