Friday, 02 September, 2005

Farnell InOne has become the first company in Australia to achieve the Standards Mark for the Certification of Electrostatic Sensitive Devices from the certified testing body SAI Global.

The company has passed tests and assessments set out by SAI Global to meet worldwide standards in ESD handling. Testing includes the areas of transport, unpacking, handling, packaging and distribution of ESD.

The company's standards in ESD handling involve the use of protective packaging materials, custom ESD workstations, equipment including grounding straps, and special handling procedures.

Each employee who has access to ESD areas is trained in procedures and is equipped to handle items to prevent ESD problems.
