Laird Connectivity Sentrius BT510 sensor
Laird Connectivity’s Sentrius BT510 sensor is a multisensor platform that combines temperature, open/closed, motion and impact sensing with Bluetooth 5 capabilities such as long-range (Coded PHY), security and Bluetooth Low Energy beaconing. This makes it suitable for Internet of Things (IoT) applications.
The compact, battery-powered platform integrates the long-range Laird Connectivity BL654 Series module with the Nordic nRF52840 system-on-chip (SoC). These are said to deliver advanced processing capability, enabling feature-rich application development with 1 MB of flash memory.
The ultralow-power sensor is powered by a replaceable CR2477 coin cell battery, enabling multiyear performance with simple, intuitive maintenance. The versatile sensor is futureproof, capable of receiving over-the-air (OTA) updates from a supported mobile application or, eventually, through cloud deployment using Laird Connectivity’s Sentrius IG60 IoT gateway integrated support.
The sensor is ready to use in just minutes and features extensive worldwide approvals, including FCC, IC, CE, MIC, RCM and Bluetooth SIG. Housed in a rugged IP67-certified enclosure with an easy-to-use twist/lock design, the device enables field use in harsh environments and in applications such as environment monitoring, industrial heating and cooling, food safety monitoring and cold chain management.
