Artila Electronics Matrix-704 surge-protected IoT gateway

Wednesday, 03 June, 2020 | Supplied by: Micromax Pty Ltd

Artila Electronics’ Matrix-704 IoT gateway features isolated/surge-protected serial ports that secure data transmission, enabling industrial equipment in a wide range of demanding applications to withstand harmful and volatile electrical environments.

Developers of industrial applications expect reinforced isolation products to provide fail-safe protection from secondary lightning strikes, especially in applications where equipment is installed outdoors and where exposed cables or wires are vulnerable to lightning. With isolated and surge-protected RS-485 serial port, the Industrial IoT gateway offers extreme temperature and wide power supply tolerances, as well as electromagnetic disturbance protection. These specifications can help developers enhance the efficiency, effectiveness and safety of their system designs.

With one miniPCIe slot, the product can deploy the connectivity technology/RF modules easily — such as LTE/4G, 3G, Wi-Fi, BLE and LoRa — meaning networks can be easily deployed and extended. The wireless device features an innovative compact platform, with a rugged ARM processor coupled with the open Linux operating system. This makes the gateway suitable for many industrial, telecom and automotive applications where long lifetimes are particularly important.
