The Tektronix PA4000 power analyser delivers consistently accurate measurements, even with challenging power waveforms. While most power analysers rely on zero-crossing point to detect and track fundamental frequency, the analyser uses a unique method to lock onto signals, no matter how complex.
Add in wide current and voltage input ranges, built-in test modes and standard PC interfaces, and you have a power analyser that is as versatile as it is accurate.
Features include: modular and scalable from 1 to 4 input modules to match the user’s application; high measurement accuracy of 0.04% (basic voltage and current accuracy); high crest factor tolerance up to crest factor 10; dual internal current shunts for each module maximise accuracy for high and low current measurements; unique spiral shunt design maintains stability over variations in current, temperature, etc; proprietary frequency detection algorithms are said to ensure ‘rock-solid’ frequency tracking even on noisy waveforms; application-specific test modes simplify instrument set-up and reduce the likelihood of user error (built-in PWM motor mode, lighting ballast mode, stand-by current mode and integrator mode); harmonic analysis to the 100th harmonic as a standard feature and can be analysed simultaneously with other power parameters.
