Monday, 01 May, 2006 | Supplied by: Eaton Electrical (Australia) Pty Ltd

Eaton has introduced the Powerware DC power system range for converging networks.

The range has an integrated distribution arrangement that combines the AC and DC distribution components in a single compartment with flexible combinations of fuses and MCBs.

The SM60 or SM65 supervisory module is now mounted on the inside of the door with an optional LCD on the outside.

The systems can accommodate up to four shelves of either Powerware APR or NPR hot-swappable rectifier modules, enabling configurations with a wide range of scalable power outputs.

Systems can also be configured with up to four 48 V (or eight 24 V) strings of high capacity VRLA batteries.

The system is a development of a range of standard core elements that can be used in different combinations to suit various requirements.

The DC distribution can be configured with up to four groups of MCBs (up to 120 A rating) or HRC fuses (up to 250 A rating). Single or dual LVD can be included.
