Diodes SBR12U100P5/SBR12U120P5/SBR15U30SP5 super barrier rectifiers

Diodes has expanded its portfolio of super barrier rectifiers with the introduction of 12 and 15 A rated devices in the PowerDI5 package.

As the output rectifiers in space-limited SMPS design, the SBRs are characterised by an ultra-low forward voltage drop that delivers better efficiency and cooler operation than standard Schottky rectifiers.

The 12 A rated SBR12U100P5 and SBR12U120P5 offer blocking voltage capabilities of 100 and 120 V and suit slim laptop, netbook adapter, LCD and LED TV applications.

The 15A rated version, the SBR15U30SP5, will fit next-generation solar panel design, where low-profile bypass diodes are mounted directly beneath the glass. Forward voltage is typically 0.63 for the SBR12U120P5, for a forward current of 12 A at an operating temperature of 125°C.

The SBRs also raise power supply reliability, by offering increased protection against large turn-on spikes and good overall thermal heat transfer.
