DC/DC converter series

Murata Power Solutions has added a series of eighth-brick DC/DC converters to its existing range.

The fully isolated (2250 VDC) UCE series is available with fixed output voltages from 1.5 to 12, output current to 40 A and output power up to 100 W.

The converters have a high-density, open-frame design that uses an interleaved synchronous rectifier to achieve efficiency levels of over 90%.

The modules accept a wide input range of 36 to 75 VDC, with good thermal performance and derating enabling them to operate with full-rated power at their maximum 85°C operating temperature with only moderate airflow.

Overall dimensions of 58.4 x 22.9 mm and a low profile of 10.16 mm allow the series to be incorporated in designs where space is limited.

The series is RoHS compliant and protected against input over/undervoltage, output overcurrent and short-circuit.

A remote on/off control input enables phased start-up and shutdown in multivoltage applications, as well as standby operation.
