Eltek Flatpack2 High Efficiency Solar Charger
With its MPPT algorithm ensuring close to 100% panel utilisation and efficiency up to 96.5%, the galvanic isolated solar charger sets new standards for renewable and hybrid power in telecommunications.
Its industrial applications also include fixed/mobile broadband and radio base stations for telecoms, as well as control/protection and signalling for railway infrastructure.
The charger has a wide input voltage range (85-265 VDC) and also has an extensive operating temperature (-40 to +75°C).
The charger is fully integrated with its counterpart, the Flatpack 2 HE Rectifier, which means it can be used in any 24 V/48 V FP2 system solution with 4 AC power shelves. Additionally, the Smartpack2 controller provides full control and monitoring capabilities; the most important feature being the energy-logging function, which will monitor the power supplied from the solar panels through the charger.
Energy from other sources, like standard rectifiers supplied from generators or mains, will also be logged in hybrid systems. The energy log is stored on a historical basis with the controller. Typically, each charger is fed by one string of 4-6 250 W solar panels. Galvanic isolation between the solar panels and batteries/telecom equipment provides a high level of surge protection and reliability.
The charger is CE-marked and UL-listed for worldwide installations. With an MTBF of >400,000 h, the Flatpack2 HE Solar Charger is a suitable choice when it comes to picking the right equipment for a solar hybrid site.
