Conxall has introduced the series of Con-X product, the Field Installable Shielded Multi-Con-X.

This product was designed for field installations where:

• circuits must be protected from electromagnetic or radio frequency interference;
• an earth ground must be carried via the cable shield through the connector shell, coupling ring and receptacle to ground (panel).

The Field Installable Shielded Multi-Con-X offers a simple method of completing the shield between the cable and the connector housing (requiring no additional or special installation tools). The backshell can be assembled with nothing more than a screwdriver.

There is also an unshielded version available for applications which do not require shielding.

Features include:

• 6 keyway orientations available on the shielded and 1 on the unshielded.
• 2-9-pole insert configurations with size 12, 16, 20 contacts available.
• Panel mounts are available with male or female contacts (solder or PC tail termination)
• Cable ends are available with male or female contacts (crimp or solder termination)
• Inline ends for cable joining are available with male or female contacts (crimp or solder termination)
• Cable OD accommodated range between 3.8 to 8.1 mm
• Amp ratings range from 1.95 to 23.0 amps per pin depending on pin configuration.
• Cable assembly overmoulding available.
