TE Connectivity Mezalok HSLF XMC connectors
TE Connectivity has released its Mezalok High-Speed Low-Force (HSLF) XMC connectors. Designed specifically for mezzanine applications, the connectors meet qualification requirements of legacy Mezalok high-speed connectors, with reduced mating and unmating force.
The XMC connectors are capable of data rates up to 32 Gbps, offering good signal processing for embedded computing interconnects in mezzanine applications. The connectors feature a reduction in required mating and unmating force — by 32% and 47%, respectively — and meet robust standards listed in VITA 47 and VITA 72.
The connectors make installation and upgrades easy with a variety of positions and stack heights. They are available with 60 or 114 positions in six-row configurations, with stack height options of 10 and 12 mm. Additionally, the 114-position connector is compliant with VITA 61.
The connectors feature a wide operating temperature range of -55 to +125°C and a VITA 42.3 pinout for enhanced thermal stability for solder joints. The connectors are suitable for aerospace, ground vehicle, marine, missile defence and other ruggedised applications.
