TE Connectivity Active Optical cable assemblies
Mouser Electronics, Inc. now stocks the Active Optical cable assemblies from TE Connectivity. These cable assemblies offer improved cable flexibility and longer reach than traditional passive copper and emerging active copper (ACC/AEC) solutions, supporting high-performance networking, storage and data centre applications. The cable assemblies also provide lighter-weight interconnects and a smaller bend radius than copper alternatives. The cable assemblies are suitable for high-speed interconnects within and between switches, high-performance computing, server-server clusters for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), routers, and transport equipment and InfiniBand applications.
The cable assemblies also offer a range of form factors and data rates, providing a versatile solution for high-performance electronics designs. TE Connectivity offers small form-factor pluggable (SFP), quad small form-factor pluggable (QSFP), quad small form-factor pluggable double-density (QSFP-DD), and octal small form-factor pluggable (OSFP) assemblies in both straight and breakout configurations. The cable assemblies offer 28 G NRZ, 56 G, and 112 G PAM4 per channel, delivering aggregated data rates from 25 to 800 G. The range of assemblies offers reduced power and latency, ease of installation and straightforward configurability for complicated data centre and networking applications.
The cable assemblies also feature low power consumption and built-in digital diagnostic functions, are hot-pluggable and RoHS compliant, and offer a commercial operating case temperature range of 0 to 70°C.
