Tab connectors

The AMP PIDG tabs consist of a solid metal tab with plastic insulation on the crimp end. The metal support sleeve under the insulation crimps tightly onto the wire insulation, providing good grip in high vibration.

Individual wire strands of the lead are crimped in the wire barrel of the terminal.

Colour-coded insulation protects the crimped connection from shorting adjacent electrical sources and provides visual identification of the wire size.

The tabs can be used in inline splicing applications along with an appropriate insulated receptacle. Wiring harnesses in a variety of industrial and commercial equipment as well as control systems are potential applications.

The insulated PIDG Faston tab will mate with quick connect receptacles such as fully insulated PIDG Faston receptacles and Ultra-Fast Faston receptacles designed to accept a 250 tab.

Three sizes are available (22-18 AWG, 16-14 AWG and 12-10 AWG) - all in loose-piece packaging.

The tabs are rated for up to 300 V and meet UL 310 and CSA 22.2 No 153 for electrical and mechanical performance.
