Samtec’s line of coax cable systems includes a micro discrete wire coax solution for high-speed applications. The coax cable assembly (FCF8 Series) and board level connector (FCS8 Series) create a high-performance system featuring a compact design and rugged features suitable for applications that require a space-saving, economical solution for high-speed transmission of data in micro-industrial, medical/military instrumentation and many cable-to-board, high-speed signalling applications.
The FCF8/FCS8 system is available with a choice of 10, 20 or 30 total contacts on a 0.80 mm pitch, with the outside contacts grounded to the outer body shielding. The cable assembly features 38 AWG micro discrete wire coax cable, available in any length longer than 76.2 mm.
A positive latching system, metal shielding for EMI protection and standard weld tabs on the surface-mount connector make this system suitable for harsh-environment and other rugged applications. Application-specific cable lengths are also available.
