Harwin has extended its range of PC/104 and PC/104 Plus connectors to include stack through and non-stack through variants.

In addition to the existing range of PC/104 and PC/104 Plus connectors, a press fit option is now available.

The press fits provide an alternative to conventional soldering. Contacts are made from phosphor bronze and have a gold-plated finish as standard. Metal pillars to position circuit boards at the required distances are also available.

Benefits of the connectors are claimed to include the press fit style of pin providing termination benefits, eliminating hand soldering and the risk of solder bridging.

The range also allows rework on the board by pressing the connector in a reverse process, allowing a replacement connector to be inserted.
