Phihong has developed a 5 W interchangeable plug adapter series for personal electronics.
Designated the PSAC05R series, the single-output adapters feature interchangeable AC input clips that allow for widespread compatibility.
The adapters are compliant with Energy Star EPS version 2.0 (level V) efficiency standards and are suitable for personal electronics applications, including digital cameras, MPEG players and PDAs.
The series consists of two output adapters and features a 1.5 m DC cable. The PSC05R-050(P) terminates with a 2.1 x 5.5 mm barrel connector and the PSAC05R-050(MB) terminates with a mini-USB connector. The adapters are rated for operation from 0 to +40 °C.
The adapters are double-insulated, meet Class B EMI standards and feature short-circuit, overvoltage and overcurrent protection. They also feature low leakage current, a maximum no-load power draw of 0.3 W and an average operating efficiency greater than 68.2%.
